The Weeping Cherry Trees at Daibutsutetsudo Memorial Park

To view the cherry blossoms along the Shaho River from the center of Nara City, head to Daibutsutetsudo Memorial Park. It is located about 1 km north of JR Nara Station. From there, walk west along the Shaho River.

This is also Daibutsutetsudo Memorial Park.

The Saho River originates from the Kasugayama Primeval Forest, where rainwater gathers and forms the river.
The water flows from there, passing to the north of Todai-ji Temple, and continues along the east side of the Heijo Palace ruins before merging with the Yamato River.

Take a leisurely stroll along the Saho River and enjoy the cherry blossoms in full bloom.

For your return, several routes are available:
① Take the Kintetsu Line from Shin-Omiya Station
② Catch a bus near Shin-Omiya Station
③ Board a bus from the Nara Prefectural Library and Information Center
